Praia da Tainha is a rugged environment which starts in the natural pools of
Praia da Conceição. Once you have gone past the pools, you get to a dirt road
where you will find a marine museum and various panoramic viewpoints that make
it possible for you to enjoy the the beaches in the region. Some 1 km ahead, you
will arrive at a miniature paradise known as Porto da Vó with its exuberant
Atlantic Forest vegetation.

sea is clean and cold and the sand is white and fine at Praia da Tainha. Wind
permitting, it is a great location for bathing and diving as well as fishing for
'tainha', the most common fish in Santa Catarina's seas.
A place of outstanding beauty, Praia da Tainha features a small village formed by simple, rustic chalets built by tourists in search for a relaxing holiday place. At the moment, this beach is recovering from disorderly occupation and increasingly outstands as the municipality's 'wildest' beach. There are no shops or restaurants of any kind at this beach yet.
