Brazilian tourist market set to grow
Overseas property investors may be able to benefit from continuing growth in the Brazilian tourist market, experts have stated.
According to Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, the number of foreign visitors in Brazil is likely to grow significantly within the next few years.
The organisation stated that the growth in the sector is being actively encouraged by a government-funded multimillion-pound investment programme.
Money is being poured into a number of initiatives, such as improvements to the country's airports and road network.
Kristina Paider, spokesperson for Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, said this would make Brazil a "more attractive" place to visit.
She commented: "Brazil's tourism ministry predicts that the number of international tourists will nearly double by 2010."
Ms Paider added that this would be likely to boost its appeal to investors from overseas.
According to HiFX, the amount of British interest in the Brazilian property market went up by one per cent during June 2008.
