Hi

Could there be more hotels for sale in Brazil on launch of tourism campaign?

Those looking for hotels for sale in Brazil may be interested to know that the country's Tourism Ministry recently launched a campaign to promote the nation as a holiday destination.

In preparation for the 2014 World Cup, which is to be held in Latin America's largest economy, Brazil calls you! Celebrate life here. Brazil. Sensational! was announced in Johannesburg, South Africa.

"This campaign is a huge step forward in the global positioning of Brazil as a tourist destination," Jeanine Pires, president of the Brazilian Tourism Institute EMBRATUR commented.

"We'll show the world what Brazil has better to offer to the tourist, like its diversity, its modernity and especially the joy and the lifestyle of the Brazilian people," she added.

The project will reach 100 countries and 400 million people across the globe, the organisation announced, with advertisements on television, print and social media programmes planned.

Plans include billboards in 12 nations which will be positioned outdoors as well as in airports and on public transportation.

This extends a campaign held during this year's World Cup in South Africa, where large advertisements were installed at Johannesburg airports as well as near the main tourist attractions and major streets.

Additionally, promotions will be printed in newspapers and magazines in 27 countries and a 30 second advertisement will be shown on television alongside the transmission of a film - Sons do Brasil - on international news and sports stations and on Youtube.

Also on Youtube, over 100 videos have been uploaded to EMBRATUR'S channel, which include statements from celebrities and other people who have visited the country as well as films about holiday destinations. The clips will be available in over 70 languages.

Brazil Scenery: Brazilian Selection of the Cities is a DVD that will also include one-minute clips, featuring the cities in which stadiums will be used for the tournament, the surrounding scenery and main attractions for overseas visitors.

A brochure will be released - Brasil de todas as cores (Brazil of all colours) - which will include features on all five regions of the nation, particularly the 12 cities that will host World Cup matches, alongside images from Brazilian artists and photographers and illustrations of the best tourism spots in the country.

Hitting multi-media platforms, the campaign will also be promoted on a website - Selecao Brasileiras Cidades (Brazilian Selection of the Cities) - which will offer maps, videos, pictures and profiles of the 12 host cities in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Other online advertisements will appear on social networking sites and other internet applications such as Twitter, Facebook, FourSqaure and Flickr.

Meanwhile, a mobile application will be launched, which will allow people to view information, tourism hints and maps.

Ten weeks of publicity through the media will be undertaken in this manner, reaching the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

This comes after Matt Koppenheffer noted in the Motley Fool that property - which could include hotels for sale in Brazil - is one of the sectors that Ernst & Young expects to see stronger returns on the back of the World Cup.ADNFCR-1477-ID-19896276-ADNFCR
