Economic growth to fuel international trade
Brazil
's rapid economic growth could help it to build stronger business ties with other countries, a British cabinet minister has stated.
Business secretary John Hutton has been visiting the South American nation in the last week in order to look at ways of developing mutual relations.
The minister said the continuing growth in Brazil's economy is helping it to secure "bigger and better" business deals, as well as greater international trade and investment.
Mr Hutton added that the UK's experience in hosting major events such as Live 8, Wimbledon and the Rugby World Cup could be good for Brazil as it prepares for the Fifa World Cup in 2014.
Speaking to the North West Evening Mail, he commented: "It's that expertise that can assist Brazil in hosting a successful World Cup that will provide benefits long after the event."
Earlier this week, Brazilian trade minister Miguel Jorge said he hopes to double the amount of trade between Brazil and the UK over the next five years, reported AFP.
