Gold medallist explains appeal of property in Natal
Record-breaking Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy has revealed why he chose property in Natal as good area in which to invest.
The Scotsman, who became the first Briton to win three gold medals in an individual Olympics in Beijing over the summer, claimed in an Obelisk International press release that the investment potential offered by the South American country "is incredible".
This is one of the main reasons why he elected to purchase a property in Rio Grande do Norte's capital, which enjoys tropical weather and is considered to be among the safest cities in Brazil.
"Brazil is one of the world's fastest growing emerging markets and its North East region is undergoing a massive boom in tourism," commented the 32-year-old.
Hoy is not the first noted sportsman to have entered the world of overseas property investment in recent years, with boxer Joe Calzaghe known to have bought units in several countries.
