More Brazilian people are taking holidays within their own country, in what could be good news for those who own property in Brazil.
According to figures from the country's Civil Aviation Agency, cited by the Wall Street Journal, domestic airline traffic rose by 9.4 per cent last month when compared with the previous June.
This suggests that Brazilian people have more disposable income and are spending it on travel.
Victor Mizusaki, an analyst from Itau Corretora, told Bloomberg: "With the industry normally growing two or three times GDP, there will likely be a very strong recovery for airlines."
Earlier this month, it was announced that a new tourist route had opened in the north east of Brazil, a factor that could attract more tourists to the area.
Civilisation of Sugar incorporates attractions in Paraiba, Pernambuco and Alagoas, all of which have plenty of history as well as beautiful beaches and a laid-back atmosphere.
