The beaches in Bahia, north eastern Brazil, have been recommended as among the best in the world by one magazine.
In good news for those who have invested in property in Salvador da Bahia, online portal AskMen.com looked at golden sands all over the globe in order to compile a list of the best outside the US - and the Brazilian state came in at number seven.
Trancoso in particular was highlighted for looking like something out of the movies, thanks to its rainforest backdrop and sandy shores.
"The masses are only now beginning to take notice of this centuries-old treasure, so getting away from it all is still a distinct possibility," the magazine said.
It added that the "sandy stretches of paradise" will really help holidaymakers get away from it all.
Bahia was also in the news this week after it was chosen as the location in which to shoot the new Pirelli calendar, with Lily Cole among the models enjoying the Brazilian climate during the trip.
