Overseas property buyers are increasingly opting to invest in emerging markets such as Brazil, analysts have stated.
According to Property Secrets, the number of purchases in less-established locations has gone up by almost half in the last year.
Latin America was highlighted as one of the main hotspots of activity, with Brazil in particular proving to be especially popular.
Commenting on this trend, Property Secrets said it is largely because emerging destinations tend to offer a favourable financial climate for investors.
The website commented: "As returns go into freefall in many developed economies, it's unsurprising that big money investors are looking for returns in the most promising emerging markets."
Property Secrets added that rising personal wealth among the Brazilian population is also fuelling growth in the country's housing market.
This comes after overseas property investors were pointed towards the Brazilian market by analysts at Amberlamb.
The organisation stated that the country offers strong investment potential and an excellent standard of living.
