The number of people from the UK making a property investment in Brazil looks set to increase rapidly as more people become aware of the potential benefits.
This is according to Nick Cates from the BRIC Group, who told the Move Channel that not only is the country attractive in terms of its economy - which is still growing despite the global economic turbulence - but it does not have natural disasters like tsunamis and tornadoes as many tropical countries do.
He cited figures from the British Embassy, which show that there may be more than 50,000 British people purchasing property in Brazil by 2011 as foreign investment gains momentum.
"Interest looks set to sky-rocket. All the signs point towards Brazil being a fantastic location in which to invest," he commented.
Mr Cates added that Fortaleza in Brazil's north east is likely to become popular thanks to its potential as a world cup 2014 host city, as well as recent improvements to its infrastructure.
Flexeiras, just north of Fortaleza, was recently recommended as an ideal place for potential investors to consider due to its facilities and proximity to the international airport.
