Those who are considering making an investment in Brazil's industrial sectors may welcome the news that output increased in November 2009.
According to figures from the Brazilian Census Bureau, production in the sector rose by 5.1 per cent compared to November 2008.
It is the first time that output has grown year-on-year in 12 months, the Wall Street Journal revealed.
This could signal that now is the time to make an investment in Brazil's industry, as the statistics suggest the sector could be free from the grip of recession.
Brazilian news agency Estado previously carried out a poll of 21 economists, who forecast that the year-on-year growth figures for November would come in between 4.3 per cent and 7.5 per cent.
Another sector tipped to perform strongly is civil construction. Marina Sarruf, writing for Brazzil.com, remarked that the industry will benefit from increased demand for property in Brazil, saying: "The housing deficit in the country should boost the growth."
