Britons looking to move in to Brazilian property may be seeking a better quality of life than they can get in the UK, according to one expert's claims.
Rhiannon Davies, director of Shelter Offshore, explained that job insecurity, public sector spending cuts and the economic downturn at home is leading people to consider a life overseas.
"I would say that by far the vast majority of Britons looking to leave are looking for a better quality of life abroad," she said.
Despite financial insecurity among UK adults, people's interest in emigration has not diminished, Ms Davies continued, with many individuals planning and researching in order to expatriate.
However, those hoping to move into Brazilian property may be thinking of waiting for a while, as she noted there are fewer Britons actually relocating at the moment.
People looking for a better quality of life abroad could be making the right decision, as the latest Happiness Index from Post Office International Payments found 70 per cent of expats say they are very pleased with their new life.
