More British people are considering leaving the country to live elsewhere, which may mean Brazilian property will be in demand.
A recent study by insurer Aviva has found that 54 per cent of 1,000 respondents to its survey aged between 18 and 45 would put some thought into moving abroad.
Brits may be being driven abroad by the situation at home, with 89 per cent of those participating in the research saying they believe the job market has become tougher over the last three years.
"When times are tough, it might seem natural to set one's sights on moving abroad," business lead for International PMI at the company Teresa Rogers said.
Indeed, 54 per cent of people claimed the negative impact of government cuts on their life would be a key force behind them leaving the country altogether.
However, Ms Rogers warned potential expats not to act in haste as they scout out real estate, including Brazilian property.
"People need to plan carefully if they are considering making their dream a reality," she said.
Director at Shelter Offshore Rhiannon Davies recently recommended those thinking of moving abroad should spend a significant period of time staying in the country of their choice before deciding they should set up home there permanently.
