Property investors in the UK are still keen to snap up a residence overseas, according to new figures.
Research by the Property Investor show revealed that 25 per cent of investment buyers in Britain plan to purchase a house in another country this year.
Nearly three-quarters of this group expressed a preference for emerging markets, partly because they offer lower property values.
In addition, respondents said they believed these locations offer better potential for growth.
Commenting on the findings, Nick Clark of the Property Investors Show observed: "It is clear that investors are still confident in the longer term returns of bricks and mortar and are intending to expand their portfolios this year."
Earlier this week, it was revealed that a growing number of overseas property buyers are expressing interest in the Brazilian market.
According to currency specialist HiFX, the South American country is rapidly emerging as a popular location among investors.
