People seeking hotels for sale in Rio de Janeiro may be interested to know that one news provider has reported there is insufficient accommodation in Brazil to cater for the World Cup crowds - prompting billions of pounds of investment.
According to the Miami Herald, Latin America's largest economy will be hosting the tournament in 2014 across 12 cities.
Some, such as Manaus in the Amazon, do not have enough hotels to handle the 600,000 overseas tourists and three million Brazilians that the country's sports minister Orlando Silva has estimated will travel to the games.
However, in order for the event to run smoothly, $18 billion (£11.61 billion) is to be invested in infrastructure - around 68 per cent of which will come from the government, the information source reported.
This comes after the launch of a campaign from the nation's Tourism Ministry - Brazil calls you! Celebrate life here. Brazil. Sensational! - which the Brazilian Tourism Institute EMBRATUR has claimed will reach 100 countries and 400 million people.
