Property investment in Brazil is attracting British people in particular because they like to buy in places where they can have a good holiday.
This is what has been suggested by a spokesman for the Embassy of Brazil in London, who claimed that investment in the country's property market has really started to take off in recent years, with buyers drawn in by its image as an 'undiscovered secret'.
"The English especially like to invest in property abroad for holiday purposes - so they are discovering wonderful places where that can happen," he remarked.
According to BuyAssociation, Brazil's all-year-round hot weather, diverse landscape and deeply embedded culture make it an appealing proposition for overseas investors from the UK.
However, price is also thought to be a major reason behind the upsurge in demand.
The cost of living in Brazil is just 20 per cent of that in the UK, while land in even established development areas can be bought for approximately £20,000 per 1,000 square metres.
