Investment in Brazil helps drive profit growth for brewer

Investment in Brazil has seen total quarter one sales volumes rise by 0.8 per cent for leading global brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev, one of the tope five consumer products companies in the world.
Strong performances in Brazil helped to drive volumes with a 15.9 per cent growth in the country and a 2.1 per cent rise in focus brands led by sales of Skol, Brahma and Antartica.
The firm has cited innovative marketing, a profitable economic environment and higher disposable income in the nation for its success in Brazil.
Brazil's minimum wage was increased by 9.7 per cent in January leading to greater consumer spending.
Anheuser-Busch InBev saw a rise in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 18.7 per cent to $1.15 billion (£761.28 million) in Latin America North alone contributing to a total EBITDA increase of 5.1 per cent to $4.09 billion.
Eliminating the impact of developing countries like Brazil where volume growth and costs of sales is stronger but revenue is weaker, total revenue growth came to 2.5 per cent.
