Investment in Brazil is a popular option for people ploughing their money into emerging markets, it has been claimed.
Andy Parsons, advice team manager at the Share Centre, noted the country was the second most popular destination for foreign funds.
Although many people still see the nation as primarily a place to invest in commodities, the expert stated the increasing wealth of its population and the forthcoming 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympics, which will be hosted there, is strengthening consumer demand and the economy.
Currently, the country is holding a general election, with a second round of voting set for October 31st after the initial ballot on October 3rd found no clear winner.
Dilma Rousseff - successor to today's president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva - and Jose Serra are the main candidates.
However, Mr Parsons does not believe the elections will change the direction of the nation.
Indeed, the specialist suggested other countries could "learn some lessons" from Brazil's economic reforms.
"For those investors prepared to accept a higher degree of risk and volatility, Brazil should offer the potential of a decent reward in the longer term," he asserted.
Jones Lang LaSalle also recently praised the country for its economic growth, saying foreign investors were showing a large amount of interest in the nation.
