Investment in Brazil may rise, as one commentator noted recently that it is leading the way in the creation of wealth.
With experts such as Carlos Jereissati, chief executive of Iguatemi Empresa de shopping Centers - a chain of malls in the country - commenting that a growth of consumerism is driving speculation in the nation, it is possible that the increasing number of richer people in Brazil will attract further investment.
Writing for the Financial Times, Ruth Sullivan has said that more individuals are setting up their own businesses and becoming wealthy in South America's largest country, with the number of rich people in the nation rising 12 per cent in 2009.
Nick Tucker, UK and Ireland market leader at Merril Lynch Wealth Management, told her that Brazil has "uncapped potential for [building] entrepreneurial wealth with a vast population who are just beginning to become productive".
The expert also commented that the government was making moves to control the growth of the economy without stifling business opportunities, adding that the country is predicted to be a "growth engine" for the areas surrounding it.
