Investors advised to look at Fortaleza

Investors who are considering a purchase in Brazil have been advised to consider buying a property in Fortaleza.

According to Richard Way, editor of A Place in the Sun magazine, the area is one of the best locations in north-east Brazil for overseas property buyers.

Rio Grande de Norte was highlighted as another possible place to consider, as it too offers good investment potential.

Mr Way commented: "There's a whole big chunk [of places] and they're all next to each other and all have the virgin coastline with palm-fringed beaches."

He added that properties in north-east Brazil are also highly affordable.

This comes after the BuyAssociation website recommended the country to foreign property buyers who are looking for a bargain overseas.

According to the online portal, the South American nation is increasingly attracting people who want "a more permanent base" abroad.
