Johnson and Johnson invest in Brazil World Cup

Consumer health product company Johnson & Johnson has made an investment in Brazil's 2014 World Cup by becoming the main sponsor for the tournament.
The New Jersey-based firm announced yesterday (July 7th) that an agreement made with international football association Fifa had secured its position as the eighth and last firm to become the primary commercial financer of the competition.
Johnson & Johnson claimed that the sponsorship deal also covers the Confederations Cup in 2013 and will help the company sell products to football fans all over the world
Brazil is an important emerging market for the firm, which has been providing goods and services in the nation for almost 80 years.
The sponsorship deal could see further success for the brand in Latin America's largest economy.
Corporate vice-president of Johnson & Johnson Brian Perkins stated: "The company will be able to reach new professionals and consumers and deepen our commitment and connection to the people and communities we serve."
The firm operates in more than 250 countries across the world and employs around 115,000 people.
