Local bonds represent great value for investments in Brazil, it has been stated.
Michael Gomez, co-head of emerging markets at Pacific Investment Management Co, said the firm expected purchasing bonds to continue to offer good results, reports Bloomberg.
"It doesn't really matter who the president is in the next election as long as the policy is taken care of. We are fans of local debt markets in Brazil," he commented.
International bonds are a more "stable" investment in Brazil, he said, as the Latin American country continues its recovery from the global financial crisis.
Government bonds are another option for companies looking to make an investment in Brazil.
Dexia Asset Management, part of Belgium's biggest bank, recently made an investment in Brazilian government bonds instead of in more traditional European economies.
Koen Van De Maele, Dexia's global head of fixed income, said making an investment in Brazil was a good choice because of its growing economy.
