Delta Airlines has announced that it is to expand its presence in Brazil by launching new flights from the US.
Direct services between Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Fortaleza International Airport will begin operating in December.
This represents a further improvement to the accessibility of the Ceara region, which is located in north-east Brazil.
As a result, it could be set to attract a greater number of US-based tourists and property investors over the next few months.
Christophe Didier of Delta Airlines commented: "These new flights are the result of the recent limited expansion of the bilateral agreement between the governments of the United States and Brazil."
He added that the greater connectivity "opens the door" for greater tourism and business ventures between the two nations.
This comes after American Airlines confirmed that it will begin offering flights from Miami to Recife and Salvador de Bahia in November.
