People who are looking to invest in north-east Brazil could be drawn towards the region's beaches.
According to Malaysian-based news provider the Star, areas such as Fortaleza offer some of the most "happening" beaches in the country.
The media outlet added that the city also has a number of other attractions for visitors, such as "first-class" amenities and services.
This could be an important issue for second home buyers to consider, especially if they would like to buy a property in Fortaleza.
Commenting on the region, the Star said: "Brazilians make a very serious art of having fun and this is never better exhibited than on a beach."
The publication added that Fortaleza offers "ultra-modern" buildings and "typically innovative" architecture.
This comes after the region was recommended to foreign property buyers by Richard Way of A Place in the Sun magazine.
He flagged up attractions such as its "palm-fringed" beaches and highly affordable house prices.
