A financial official has insisted that economic conditions are ideal for making an investment in Brazil.
According to Luciano Coutinho, chief executive of Brazil's development bank, the government is currently working to diversify the country's economy.
This, he stated, could create a number of investment opportunities in various industries, such as agriculture and telecommunications.
Speaking to the BBC World Service, Mr Coutinho also said Brazil is establishing closer trade links with many Asian nations.
He cited this as another factor that has helped to boost the Brazilian economy in the wake of the global financial crisis.
Mr Coutinho added that confidence in the economy is also being fuelled partly by predictions of possible growth in the oil industry.
This comes after Jeff Chowdhry of F&C highlighted Brazil as an ideal country in which to make an investment.
He named its strong banking sector and large resources of minerals and oil as factors in its favour.
