Olympic gold medallist Sir Chris Hoy has revealed that he has bought a property in Brazil in which to spend his holidays.
The cyclist commented in an interview with the Telegraph that he enjoys peace and quiet on his trips abroad so that he can switch off, but that he also likes to visit the gym in order to keep up his training regime.
He said that he recently purchased a property in Brazil that has not yet been built and is eagerly anticipating its completion.
"It's ideal for my purposes - I'm going to use it for holidays and for training," Sir Chris said.
He added that Brazil is great for cycling because the roads are so good and the climate is favourable
"I hope in the long term it will be a good investment," the cyclist concluded.
Sir Chris won three gold medals at the Beijing Olympics last year, making him the first Briton to do so since 1908 and the most successful Olympic male cyclist of all time.
