Those engaged in property investment in Brazil could be set to benefit from rapid population growth over the next three decades, it has been suggested.

An article on the NSPInternational website reports that the country's market is heavily supported by demand from Brazilian citizens and this could be set to rise over the next few years.

Figures from Brazil's Institute for Geography and Statistics show that there are 189.6 million people living in the country at present, following an increase of more than 16 million individuals in the last seven years.

The population is expected to reach approximately 220 million over the next 30 years, equating to an average rise of one million people per annum.

Among the places that have been growing over the years is the city of Fortaleza, which almost doubled in size between the 1980s and 2000, from an estimated 1.3 million inhabitants to 2.45 million, according to census statistics.ADNFCR-1477-ID-18802663-ADNFCR
