Had fictional action hero James Bond decided to invest in property while on his travels around the world, Brazil would probably have been one of his targets.
This is the opinion of Susan Walsh, who took a look at the investment potential of a number of Bond destinations and suggested that Brazilian property would certainly be an area worthy of 007's cash.
Among the reasons for this is the "exceptionally favourable" exchange rate that currently exists between the Brazilian reais and the pound - "making it cheap for foreigners to invest in property".
As of 08:30 BST on October 23rd, £1 is equal to 3.87 reais, according to XE.com.
On top of this, overseas property investors should be able to find a number of "bargains" in the country, "with two-bedroom houses in the region of £40,000".
Brazil featured in 1970s Bond movie Moonraker, with large parts of the film shot in Rio de Janeiro.
