Property in Fortaleza has been praised as a good investment opportunity by one commentator.
Writing for the Daily Reckoning, Ronan McMahon noted the city, which lies on the north-east coast of Brazil, is a holiday destination for domestic tourists.
A middle-class demographic is growing in the country as its population increases in wealth, which the expert stated would encourage people to buy real estate and second homes.
"We can profit by owning the condo this new middle class lives or vacations in, or the building that houses the coffee shop where they sip coffee," he explained.
Fortaleza airport saw a 23 per cent rise in passenger traffic in the 12 months to August, while cargo traffic was up 40 per cent, the specialist reported.
The real estate market is strong in the city, he continued, with prices buoyed by an influx of buyers - most of which are local people.
Jason Cimpl recently wrote on the Daily Profit Blog of Wyatt Investment Research that Brazilian property is benefiting from the increasing affluence of the country, with 50 per cent of the nation's population now middle class.
