Property in Fortaleza may see greater demand from tourists, as US airline Delta has begun a codeshare service with Brazilian firm GOL, which may make it easier for people to travel within the Latin American nation.
The American company already flies to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia, with 31 flights leaving for those destinations every week.
However, the new agreement will see 15 new destinations served by the airline, including Fortaleza, Salvador, Florianopolis and Joao Pessoa.
"Delta continues to grow its network in Latin America … allowing our customers to enjoy seamless travel experience and an expanded network throughout Brazil," vice-president for Latin America and the Caribbean at the company Nicolas Ferri said.
This may encourage more people to stay in property in Fortaleza, with the airline serving over 160 million customers every year.
Delta is also the official flight provider for the Grammy Awards this year, for the fourth time in a row, which will see passengers have the opportunity to enjoy an en-route entertainment channel dedicated to artists that have won such a prize.
