Investment in Brazil is being attracted by the economic and political reforms which one writer has argued are transforming the country into "a manufacturing powerhouse".
Writing for the Motley Fool, Tony Luckett explained the nation is one of the more successful in Latin America, having "shrugged off" the impact of the credit crunch.
Additionally, the country is to host both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, the specialist stated.
While the football tournament will be held across 12 cities, the Olympics will be based in Rio de Janeiro.
As well as drawing speculators' attention to the nation, the competitions will buoy demand, Mr Lockett explained.
The expert admitted Brazil has social problems, but asserted most of the country is very different to the favelas.
However, government investment in Rio is attempting to reduce the issues seen in the shanty towns, with Amy Stillman recently reporting for the BBC that Police Pacification Units have been set up in these areas in an attempt to make them safe for tourists.
