British people could consider buying a holiday home to rent out as travellers seek to save money during the recession.
In interesting news for those who already own or are considering buying property in Brazil, Kate Stinchcombe of holidaylettings.co.uk said that more people are looking for affordable places to stay when they go away - even on long haul trips - which is ensuring that rentals come into their own.
"Anybody who is deciding to rent out their second home is actually at least on their way of making a financial gain this year because there is so much demand for self catering properties," she commented.
Indeed, research carried out recently by the same company found that rental holiday homes could be up to four times cheaper to stay in than hotels.
Not only this, but holidaymakers are considering them for more kinds of trips than ever before, with 38 per cent saying they would stay in one for a reunion and ten per cent willing to rent during a business trip.
