Investment in Brazil is being encouraged by the nation's president Dilma Rousseff, who recently gave her first major interview as leader of the country to local financial newspaper Valor.
The politician said airports were in need of capital and this infrastructure would be opened up to private speculators.
She also vowed not to allow Brazil to fall into a trap of hyperinflation, which could be welcome news to people hoping to invest in Brazil.
Her comments came in preparation for the Olympic Games in 2016 and World Cup in 2014, which are expected to bring hordes of people to the nation.
"We will accept investments from the private sector that are adequate to the needed expansion plans ... We don't have any bias on how to increase the investments in that area," the Canadian Press quoted her as saying.
Investment in Rio de Janeiro is also needed to prepare for the Olympics and mayor of the city Eduardo Paes would like to issue $500 million (£309 million) in bonds to raise cash, the Financial Times recently reported.
