People investing in Brazilian property may find it easy to rent it out to businesses, as it has been reported that tenant demand is improving across global commercial real estate markets.
Head of real estate investment at Standard Life Investments David Paine explained that firms were beginning to plough more money into office space as economies recover and occupier confidence grows.
The company predicted there will be nearly double-digit yearly returns in the global commercial real estate market.
Mr Paine explained: "The supply of good quality new space is at low levels in most markets and we expect this to continue over the medium term, leading to an improvement in yields."
He also noted that vacancy rates are declining and some investors are buying into real estate as a hedge against inflation.
The Financial News Pension Fund Barometer recently found that retirement schemes intend to increase their allocation of real estate in developing economies.
