Commercial property in Brazil is seeing strong tenant demand, according to a recent survey by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics).
The organisation's Global Commercial Property Survey for the fourth quarter of last year shows that agents in the country were optimistic about capital values and reported a lessening of the need to offer inducements to potential occupants compared with the previous three months.
Simon Rubinsohn, chief economist at Rics, said strong growth in Latin American, Asian and Eastern European property markets was supporting the global real estate sector.
"Our suspicion is that these markets will see the strongest gains in capital values over the course of 2011," he commented.
The survey found positive rental expectations among agents and reported a drop in the availability of real estate to let in the country.
An article on Stock Markets Review described the Brazilian property market as "one of the hottest around".
