People looking to buy property in Brazil should act quickly to capitalise on the country's flourishing economy and forthcoming tourism growth, an expert has said.
In a report from overseas opportunity magazine Investment International, the writer said: "There has never been a better time to invest in real estate in Brazil."
The publication made the announcement after figures from ADIT, the association for inward investment in Brazil's real estate and tourism industries, which highlighted a number of the country's benefits for investors.
According to ADIT, one million jobs are being created in the Latin American country, with unemployment falling to 7.5 per cent in 2009 compared to 7.9 per cent last year.
With national borrowing equivalent to only four per cent of its GDP, Brazil is also in a perfect position to ride out the effects of the global economic downturn, the organisation explained.
It comes after Paresh Upadhyaya, a senior vice-president at economic adviser Putnam Investments, told news agency Bloomberg that he could see nothing that would stop Brazil's currency, the real, from continuing to prosper in 2010.
