A new eco-resort in north east Brazil has been described as somewhere to let your imagination run free by one developer.
In news that may interest those looking to have property built in Brazil, Trancoso's new Uxua Casa Hotel opened last week and consists of converted fishermen's cottages, a spa and a beachfront nightclub, among other things.
Wilbert Das, the resort's owner and also the creative director of the brand Diesel, told Travel Blackboard that Bahia state is a great place to open a hotel thanks to its beautiful natural environment.
"I believe people are becoming more attracted to small-scale holiday resorts, not brands and concepts already familiar to them. [They want to] return to a sense of discovery travel," he added.
Trancoso was founded be Jesuit priests in 1583 and is famed for its scenic beaches, including Praia dos Nativos, Praia dos Coqueiros and Praia do Espelho.
Property prices there may increase further in the future as more people become aware of the benefits of owning property in the north eastern resorts.
