The 2014 Fifa World Cup will provide opportunities for people looking to make an investment in Brazil.
According to Sebastian Luparia, the manager of the JPMorgan Brazil Investment Trust, infrastructure in the Latin American country is set to be improved in preparation for the World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games, which will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro.
The Trust, which is to be launched at the end of April, will focus on making an investment in Brazil's smaller companies rather than giants such as Vale and Petrobras.
Mr Luparia stated that while exports from Brazil have tripled in the last few years, infrastructure has not been developed.
"The upcoming events have provided a deadline to improve such infrastructure and enormous spending, both public and private, has already been committed in preparation," he commented.
A target of £50 million has been set for the Trust to make an initial investment in Brazil, with between 25 and 50 firms set to benefit as a result.
